Nominations Open on Monday

Nominations are opening on Monday, and they're a little different from most gift exchanges. Your nominations are not going to be based on what you would like to write, but instead off of what you've already written and what you DO NOT want to write.

Each person is able to make 10 nominations for each fandom (and 10 each for characters and pairings within those fandoms), as well as 20 Freeform nominations. You do not have to use all of your nominations.

Fandoms eligible for nomination include:

Any Avengers title (Avengers, New Avengers, Dark Avengers, Secret Avengers, Young Avengers, etc)
Any solo title of an Avengers member (Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor, etc)
Any MCU-related title — The remix was created with the MCU = the Avengers. Guardians of the Galaxy and all related titles ARE eligible. As the MCU expands, the remix will probably be renamed to reflect that this was always meant to be and MCU-and-related-comics-and-stuff remix, but not this round.

For the Freeforms, of which you get many, you will nominate your DO NOT WANTS. Any trope, kink, character, pairing, fandom; if you do not want to write for it, nominate it.

When nominating characters, be sure to use their full name, followed by the fandom, as opposed to their superhero name. Iron Man goes in the fandom section. Tony Stark goes in the characters. Any tags that are changed or edited during the nomination phase will be listed here on the community.

Example:

Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Loki (Journey into Mystery)
Peter Quill (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

So, to be clear, can we nominate the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself or should we focus on individual franchises? What is the best course of action if, for example, the pairing is two characters who haven't been in the same movie together?

If we've used multiple tags on the same fic (ex: Thor (Movies), Marvel Cinematic Universe) should we make two nominations? Or will that only matter for signups/matching?

Sorry to keep asking more questions -

I haven't participated in past rounds, so should we only nominate those pairings/characters for which we have a minimum # of fics? What is the eligibility?

OK, cool. Just out of logistics curiosity, how will you use the freeforms to anti-match someone? I don't see how it's possible from the challenge settings end. Or are you hand-matching?

Ahh, I get it. I hope the list doesn't get too unwieldy, then.

S2G I will stop bothering you soon.

So I tried to send my nominations through and it wouldn't let me nominate the same character/ship tags under different fandoms. Should I disambiguate them - i.e., Natasha Romanov (Captain America (Movies)) & Natasha Romanov (The Avengers (Marvel Movies))? Or not double-nominate and just let the tags drift as we know they will? (Doesn't seem like a great idea, now that I'm thinking about it, b/c you don't want the comics/cartoons/etc tags to be contaminated...).

All right, I did the best I could, man.
